N+ Studio / iOS apps

iOS app development. A useful place in your customer’s day.

An iOS app makes sense when the phone can add something useful to the experience. We help define a native Swift app or a qualifying companion to an existing web app, with device capabilities and backend needs considered from the start.

The right fit

For a workflow with a reason to live on an iPhone.

Begin with the activity rather than the app icon. Consider whether people will return frequently, what the device needs to do, and whether a responsive website already meets the need. That decision shapes the build, testing and ongoing responsibilities.

Illustrative project types, shaped around your requirements.

01

A companion to existing work

Give an existing web-app workflow an appropriate mobile experience without assuming every screen or feature belongs on the phone.

02

A native capability

Scope the device capability that improves the task and how it connects to the rest of the experience.

03

A focused Swift experience

Build a native app around the core journey, with screens, backend requirements and testing boundaries agreed first.

A defined starting point

What we scope together.

  • Feasibility and platform review before a fixed quote.
  • A defined core experience and the relevant device capabilities.
  • Backend and integration requirements considered in the scope.
  • Device testing of agreed journeys.
  • Submission assistance using the client’s Apple account.
  • Source handover and agreed revision and defect-fix terms.

A qualifying iOS companion is a separately quoted add-on to an existing working web app. Scope may include mobile adaptation, a native capability, device testing and submission assistance. It is not an automatic website wrapper. Apple fees, licensing and third-party services are separate; App Store approval is not guaranteed.

Before we build

A useful brief starts here.

  • The task users should complete on their phone and how often they will return.
  • Any existing web app, backend and the device capability you need.
  • Account ownership, data requirements and any platform or review concerns.

We review the brief, ask focused questions and propose deliverables, price and timing. No work begins until the scope is agreed. You can start by email without a sales call.

A little clarity

Questions before you start.

What is the difference between a companion and a native app?

The companion option starts from an existing working web app and a scoped mobile use case. A native Swift app is separately shaped around its core experience, device capabilities and backend needs.

Can any website become an App Store app?

No. Eligibility is assessed first. A companion is not an automatic website wrapper, and approval cannot be promised. The proposed experience needs a clear scope and platform review.

Who supplies the Apple developer account?

The client owns the Apple account used for submission. Apple fees and applicable third-party licences are separate from the build quote.

Do I need to build the web app first?

Only the companion option assumes an existing working web app. A separately scoped native app can start from the product idea, with any backend work assessed in the quote.
